I'm really back now....Thowing my hat into the ring for the Turbulence Training 3rd Transformation Contest

OK, I've been holding off on writing new posts until I had a full week of being back under my belt. I didn't want to keep writing "I'm back" posts if I wasn't really doing anything about getting back in shape. So, after a 4 month hiatus, I am back and have spent the last week working out and my body has paid for my transgression.

I have been posting updates on the Turbulence Training member's forum, which I'll be cutting & pasting into blog posts. That should get me caught up on where I am and then I can get to the business of writing witty and insightful posts here.

So, here's my first post back into the TT Member's forum last week where I threw my hat into the 3rd TT Transformation Contest.

Well, after kicking ass at the beginning of the year and reaching my goal of passing the Navy SEAL Fitness Challenge, I let myself go. I stopped working out completely and fell back into my old habits of eating a lot of crap. Over the course of the last 4 months, I've gained back 20 of the 30 pounds I lost. Needless to say, I'm pretty fed up with myself.

During those 4 months, I kept telling myself I had to start up again but nothing motivated me. I knew it was going to be hard, I knew it was going to hurt, I knew I had to do it, but I couldn't get any momentum going. Even seeing the scale creep back up didn't do it.

What finally got me back to the gym? Seeing a pic of myself from the beginning of summer when I was in my best shape. Seeing me in a swim suit looking a lot leaner than I am now made me realize how well I was doing and how much I enjoyed being physically fit and in shape.

It's time to stop being lazy, cause being fit does require daily work, and just get back into it. Sure, it's gonna hurt for the first week or so, but that will pass and sooner than I know it, I'll be back to my pre-summer weight and on my way to my ultimate goal.

I'll start blogging again, but not until I've got a week or two of workouts under my belt.

Good luck everyone else with your transformation.
